Key Features of the iPhone 8
The iPhone 8's most impressive features include the integration of wireless charging and an all-glass design. Utilising the smartest and quickest chip to date, the power and performance is up to 70% faster than the previous A10 Fusion. This has allowed for the integration of AI and augmented reality applications. Tweaks to the speed, battery and camera make for vast improvements over the iPhone 7, rounded out with a bigger display, improved 3D touch technology and a host of new integrated applications.
Design & Display
The iPhone 8's design is slick and shiny with a durable all-glass build on the front and back. With aluminium bands and a choice of grey, silver, gold and red, the phone feels more sophisticated despite not deviating from the classic 16:9 screen in 4.7-inch or 5.5-inch sizes.
The iPhone 8's camera has received a notable upgrade with it 12-megapixel camera and 7 megapixel HD video-chat camera. The camera technology has been fine-tuned with a faster and larger sensor, creating far more clarity in ambient light, contrast and depth. Furthermore, the new colour filter adds more nuance to each of the deeper pixels, creating lively and vibrant images. Both photographs and video content are further optimised by improved image stabilisation, creating sharp optics without camera shake.
Under The Hood
Under the hood, the iPhone 8 has the all-new A11 Bionic chip which has allowed for improved performance all round. Aside from this leap in chip technology, the iPhone 8 is far more complicated in its build. A charging coil is located in its body for optimised wireless charging, while the logic board components have seen improvements with a new processor, modem and integrated circuit.
